(in short) & Brief, Oct 2008
In Short is a poem about Phil Spector (who is known as the mad hatter of music). Spector's genius in the studio was often overshadowed by his violent misogynist behavior and gunplay. While giving a brief synopsis of Spector’s life, the story focuses mainly on his ongoing trial where he is accused of murdering B Movie actress Lana Clarkson. Short, little, petite, small – these themes run strongly through the story of Spector and they add a humorous glint to the tale of a man who is otherwise a dark and disturbing character.
